Service
Sorting and quality inspection
Splitting a batch and checking it against the specification
What the service covers
Sorting is the work that has to happen before goods reach a line or a consignee: split the batch by type, size, quality or despatch route, and separate out whatever fails the requirement.
The criteria are agreed with you in writing before we start — what passes, what is doubtful and what is rejected. Doubtful items are set aside for your decision rather than settled by us.
Inspection covers quantity, visible damage and conformity to the stated requirements. At the end of a batch you get a summary: how many items were checked, how many fell into each category, and the most common reasons for rejection.

Common questions
The questions we get asked most
-
01
Do you sort to our own quality criteria?
Yes — we work only to the criteria you supply. They are written down before we start so the result can be reconstructed later.
-
02
What do you do with borderline items?
They are set aside and reported. The decision on borderline cases is yours; we do not make it on your behalf.
-
03
Do we get documentation from the sort?
Yes. When the batch closes we hand over the quantities by category together with the most common reasons for rejection.
